Can you be simple? And can you be yourself?
Can you look past the lies, and learn to love yourself?
Not one thing is completely crisp or clean,
Everything has flaws, many go unseen.
Nothing alone is only black or white,
Don't ignore the grey areas, don't put up a fight.
In your own way you're perfect, no need to change a hair,
You, yourself, one of a kind- no one can compare.
So don't analyze every problem, different is always good,
When looking in the mirror, do you see what you truly should?
Would you dare to criticise God's work?
Love your freckles, blemishes, and every little quirk.
Even though life is hard, think before you act,
Need something for thought, or a helpful fact?
Be always your own, simple and true,
Even at your darkest, there is light in you.
